Day two went better than expected. I'm not yet working towards my goals, mainly because I'm enjoying the slopes and the quality of snow too much. I'm getting more confidence and am achieving higher speeds because of this. Yesterday I broke my previous personal best (I think it was only 38km/h from last year) and I peaked at 50.7km/h. I checked the graphs and I reached that speed a couple of times even. Hopefully today I'll pick up the pace and get to the 60km/h mark.
My friend Maarten also shot a short video of me on the slopes, but the wifi in our apartment is such a pile of donkey goo, I can't upload it. Even writing this blog takes me more than 10 tries, uploading photo's is a huge pain in the A. I'll try a few more times later tonight, otherwise I'll upload the video when I get back.
Also, here are some pics from yesterday:
The boulanger brought some French bread (during vacation I fall off of the Paleo wagon). There was a hugely overpriced BBQ we were kinda forced to attend, the plastic plates of 3 pieces of meat cost each of us €15,-, there was Hoegaarden on the slopes and cheese. French (and partly Italian), awesome cheese. Pictured are: Le Chevrot and a Tomme au Marc. The Tomme au Marc especially was a funky experience. Eating it gave us a weird experience, because it's really sharp in the mouth.
